    James Cook University’s Comparative Genomics Centre is now offering Summer Vacation Studentships for undergraduate students enrolled at any Australian University to undertake hands-on genetics research over summer in Townsville.

 Applications are now open to apply for the Comparative Genomics Centre Summer Vacation Student Award. Successful applicants receive instruction in the latest genetic and immunological techniques, receiving a prize of $350 per week for a full-time commitment of 6 weeks over the 2013-2014 summer break.

Studentships will give the successful applicants a rewarding and unique experience of working in one of the ten world class laboratories with cutting-edge technical facilities in the CGC in a broad rang of topics ranging from immunogenetics, biotechnology, to aquaculture genetics . 

Talented and highly motivated students with excellent academic records who are currently enrolled in an appropriate undergraduate degree program are encouraged to apply.

Applications must be received by Monday November 25th at 5pm.
